Can you alphabetize in pages

Tap the table, then tap the column letter above the column containing the data by which you want to sort. Sort Ascending: Sort the data, either in alphabetical order A to Z or by increasing numerical values. Sort Descending: Sort the data in reverse—alphabetical order Z to A or by decreasing numerical values. In columns containing both text and numbers, ascending order sorts numbers before text for example, 1a, 1b, 2a, a1, b1. There is no built-in sort function in Pages, but you can easily sort cells in tables.

To sort a list of text, you can copy and paste the list into a table, sort it, and then copy it back out. The trick is to merge the data into a single cell before copying back out of the table.

When pasting from Pages to Numbers it enters the entire list into a single cell. You're using Notes as a go between to strip the formatting from the text, so Pages and Numbers sees the pasted content as plain text.

This should work as a one time fix. You'll want a better method if you're going to sort the list over and over, like stopping half way with the list in Numbers where, you can sort it as often as you like.
